Tips for setting up a home office
Setting up a home office involves a lot of factors, from furnishing to color palettes or decking. However, before choosing any of these, you must decide what type of office you need. There are two main categories of home offices: personal and professional.
Personal home offices are usually more intimate and cozy while professional ones have to be a little rigid and serious. A professional home office is needed if you run a home-based business or if you are a freelancer and need a place to meet up with collaborators.
If you need to set up a personal home office, there are not so many restrictions as it only has to meet your personal needs. However, it’s best to keep things simple. Choose bright colors in shades of white and beige for the walls, wooden decks and simple furnishing. You can get creative in here as it’s your personal space and there will not be too many strangers coming in.

When setting up a professional home office, things are a little more complicated. But don’t worry, if you follow some simple rules.
First thing you have to do is determine the category of people that will come into your office and make the environment proper to the services you offer. If you are a lawyer, you will most likely want to choose an office with a classical touch. As a designer, choose a minimalist and bright design. Just define your design according to your domain of activity.

As a general rule, try to keep things simple. Choose bright colors, large windows, not too much furnishing and don’t forget about a sitting place for your guests; you wouldn’t want them standing up while having a meeting. Spice up the environment with some small colored decorations such as plants, paintings, vases or other.
